Meran at Al-Azhar University, Cairo

          Meran graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Arts from Al-Azhar University, with a concentration in the English language and simultaneous interpretation. She worked as a translator for Arab Radio and TV and the Internet site "Islam Online". Fluent in Arabic, English and French, she aided Julian Crandall-Hollick as an interpreter for his program Living Islam. Currently living in Cairo, Egypt, she is pursuing a postgraduate degree in linguistics at Al-Azhar University.
