          Long before he moved to New York City to become Vice-President and Director of Operations at WNYC-FM, Dean was an integral part of the award winning team that produced radio documentaries about India, notably Passages to India (1985-89) and Letters from Jitvapur (1991-92). With Julian Crandall Hollick, he has won the CPB Gold Medal, the Grand Award (and two gold and three silver awards) at the New York Radio Festivals, Armstrong and Ohio State Awards and three Cindy Awards. In 1991, he became Senior Producer for Monitor Radio's Midday Edition and in 1997 joined WNYC as director of both AM and FM Programming. He presently is the Vice-President and Executive Producer at WNYC-FM. Since 1992, he has served on our board of directors.
