Dr. Tomalin, a lecturer in Hinduism at Leeds University in the UK, has degrees from SOAS-School of Oriental and African Studies-and Lancaster University, where she wrote her PhD on "Transformation and Tradition:A Comparative Study of Religious Environmentalism in Britain and India (Lancaster 2002). She also studied environmental chemistry, physics and mathematics at Bristol University. She has written research articles on Ganga, Hinduism and Environmentalism in academic journals in the UK.
